Position Title: Field Engineer

Work Location: Glen Mills, PA Area

Work environment (private office?, cube?, high rise office building?): Office Building, regular driving to project sites.

Who does this position report to? Installation Manager

Why is this position open? Company is growing

Projects involved with: Candidate would be involved with system installation, cabling, wiring, and troubleshooting A/V systems or IT networks.

Responsibilities: Configuration editing and debugging of various systems.

Required Skills:
 Experience communicating with IT Professionals
 Preferred certification, knowledge and understanding of Polycom, Tandberg, Crestron, BiAmp, AMX, BSS and ClearOne Software.
 Must have experience reading, understanding, and explaining audio visual engineering system drawings
 Understanding of network standards and practices
 Experience with line of business databases and data management
 Experience with “reverse engineering” in order to give Software Developers accurate information to write new code from scratch for functionality.
 Must be able to create documentation of software functionality in form of customer user manual, problem solving, and operational walk-throughs
 Graphical user interface experience, software simulation in-house and on-site
 Load and configure Control and DSP controls, configure all devices to optimal settings
 Create documentation in regards to entire test and tune process performed on job site.
 Test and Force-fail all systems and report all results to Software Developers, Installation Manager, and Lead Installers
 Must be able to create LAN and WLAN for communications among devices at client location.
 Must be able to work nights and weekends as necessary
 Must be able to recommend software changes to enhance performance, launch newly installed systems, follow OSHA regulations

• Equivalent combination of Education, training, and experience will be considered

• Must be able to lift 75lbs
• Must be able to identify and distinguish colors
