Our client is a stable, global company. They are currently developing a very complex device and Aavalar Consulting has been exclusively engaged to provide an C# developer on a contract basis to develop a brand new user interface for the device. This is a high priority high visibility position. A job description follows:
Position Title: C# User Interface Developer
Work Location: Wilmington, DE.
Work environment: Fairly typical industrial office space in a nice suburban setting.
Who does this position will report to?: Director
Size of department: 30+
Projects involved with: New generation of high thru-put medical chemical analyzer.
Responsibilities: > Gather customer requirements and translate them to a formal design. > Develop prototypes, and conduct usability testing. > Interface GUI software with other application layers to control testing and display instrument status. > Design and develop complex business layer logic to enhance system capabilities. > Perform coding, verification and configuration management of production software.
Role with the group (manager, programmer, etc.): Individual Developer
Required Skills: > Expert level (3 plus years) C# development experience with large multi-threaded applications. > Experience with .NET 4.0 Framework > Excellent (really perfect) communications skills. > Windows User Interface Development experience > Experience developing applications utilizing Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and MVVM > Knowledge of localization and security of WPF applications > General knowledge of state of the art GUI tools > Experience programming with standard SQL (reports, database management, etc.) > TFS > LINQ > Expression Blend > BSEE, BS Comp.E, BS Comp. Sci. or related degree.
Desired Skills: > Familiarity with a clinical laboratory setting. > Experience with instrument control > Experience with low level, real-time software or firmware > Knowledge of PRISM framework
